Shanghai

I've been super busy, so no time to write. Sorry! Here's a bunch of random pictures

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. Probably 5x bigger than any US science museum ive ever been to... and hilariously bad English translations make it even more fun.

Polar bears hate escalators.

This is what happens if you try to order western food. Nasty "pizza" in bag in a box. I sometimes think they look at pictures of our food and say, "yeah I could make that." I also got a "Ceasar salad" that was just lettuce with mayo on it and the crutons were just squares of soft bread.

Or your head will fall off.
Cloud 9; bar at the top of the 6th tallest building in the world with some British and Scottish friends I met at my hostel here.
We were in the building on the left (not the giant bottle opener)
Maglev! The Chinese woman taking this picture thought me giving two thumbs up was hilarious.

I love following your travels! I'm making my own journey today and tomorrow, but only an 850 mile drive across the middle of America. Oh well--it's great to hear what you're up to--enjoy!

You must have been interrogated for looking like a ragamuffin, huh?

Giant bottle opener AKA Shanghai World Financial Center is a good place too. I just never got to visit it because it was still under construction when I was there.

I wouldn't fart in that tower if I were you. All that effluvium would surely make you an interloper!

Seriously, the people who wrote these signs are probably psychotic enough to be banned from their own tower.

What do they put on that pizza, anyway? Did you really eat that thing? Maybe I'll just have to try some breaded mayo salad one day.
